Giving a Hand Up not a Hand Out
The food bank in Rocky Point started about a year ago. It is the joint effort of the Family of God Christian Fellowship and Grupo Unidad Familiar church both in Rocky Point. Pastor Ernesto started it as a mission for the local members of his congregation to give back and to also receive when needed. Many members of both church’s donate on a regular basis. Donations also come from others who have heard about the ministry. The need for ongoing donations continues to be critical.

Rocky Point Parasailing

The Thirsty Parrot Bar & Grill
The Thirsty Parrot sits on the second floor across from the Governor’s Plaza in the Malécon, Old Port with a spectacular view of the Sea of Cortez and the Malécon Shopping district. If you’re in need of a break while shopping on those hot and humid unbearable days, the Thirst Parrot is air conditioned, giving you a well needed relief from the heat. On a breezy afternoon last month, Steph and I enjoyed a couple cold Sols and a view of the sea on their roof top seating.
Oaxacan Wood Painting
Our friend Igor on the left, paints these creatures with the help of his two daughters and wife at his home in Rocky Point. He’ll usually carry around smaller size wood fish carvings, blow fish, cats and mice. He likes to push the mosquitos and flies or creatures with antennas. If he does not have something you like, ask to see his portfolio of work. Most likely, if you ask he’ll paint your requested piece that night and return the next day for the sale. Igor says he can paint two medium size wood carvings a day

Noah's Jewelry on Sandy Beach, Puerto Penasco, Mexico. Noah's daughter purchase his jewelry from the silver capital of Mexico in Taxco. They then shipping the jewelry up to Noah in Rocky Point. Noah tells us that someone once offered $7,000 dollars for his entire case
